Waukegan, IL: With two weeks until the April 4th Waukegan Mayoral Election, the positive momentum continues for Sam Cunningham, the Democratic Nominee for Waukegan Mayor, as he receives the endorsement of United States Congressman Brad Schneider.
Congressman Schneider, whose district extends from the northern suburbs of Cook County to northern Lake County, stated that he is proud to endorse Cunningham in large part because of Cunningham’s long term commitment to the people in the city of Waukegan. “Through nearly two decades of public service as 1st Ward Alderman, Sam Cunningham has gained the experience and understanding to ensure local government works to improve the lives of working families, seniors, and all Waukegan residents,” said Congressman Schneider. “Sam will bring people together to take on the important issues that face our communities, from growing the local economy to preventing gun violence to protecting our environment. I look forward to working with him to build a stronger and more prosperous Waukegan for all."
“How can you not be humbled when your representative in the United States Congress endorses your candidacy?” said Cunningham. “Congressman Schneider’s career in public service is a testament to perseverance and service over self, continued Cunningham. “I deeply share that commitment and work ethic.”
